International Songwriting Competition finalists Abstract Artform are making a name for themselves in a very loud way. What started as a solo MC/Producer act, Abstract Artform has since evolved into one of Canada's most energetic hip-hop groups. Covering multiple genres including the above mentioned hip-hop and funk along with some rock and even a little soul, it's impossible to deny their passion for music. With a stage full of unique creative energy, this group transforms any venue they play into a full-on party. Having released their debut album 'Prairie Kid' back in 2008, their second effort 'His Story In The Making' screamed even more local pride from MC Shea Malcolmson along with hitting you with so many beats you didn't know which way to move. "His Story in the Making" charted at #2 on both Chart Attack and !earshot along with being played on college and commercial stations across the country including Winnipeg's own HOT 103, STREETZ FM, 92.9 KICK-FM, CKUW and UMFM. In the US the new album charted on the CMJ overall, CMJ Hip-Hop and CMJ Hip-Hop Select charts! Currently Abstract Artform is working on their third album "As the Crow Flies" which is being produced exclusively by Juno nominated producer, Fresh Kils.
