In 1998, at the age of thirteen, she released a CD entitled, 'All You Gotta Do is Try,' which compiled nine original songs. Her song, “My Destiny” reached number ninety six on the Canadian Country Music Charts.
Since then, Desiree’s has opened up for acts like Charlie Major, Tom Jackson, Susan Aglukark, Hawg Wylde, George Canyon and Jake Matthews. In 2002, Desiree sang the theme song for the 2002 North American Indigenous Games. In 2005, Desiree performed at Country Music Night during Juno Week.
Her single, 'More Like Elsie' reached #1 on the NCI Top 30 Countdown.
