After their first two albums, “Everything You Know Is Wrong” in 2003, and “Static Pop” in 2007, it was clear that they weren’t content to hang out in the garage and write straight-ahead rock. Showcases last year at the Red Gorilla Musicfest in Austin, Tex., Canadian Music Week in Toronto, and a Musexpo gig on the main stage at the House of Blues in Hollywood gave the band the experience and exposure they were looking for. Deals with MTV and national airplay in the US have boosted their guitar-based Blues/Rock/Retro profile to breakout status. Look for their new EP, “ROAR” next month.
