Quinzy’s annual Pop/Rock/Alternative/Choral/Bluegrass Christmas Concert Quinzmas has become a proud Winnipeg tradition over the last decade.

Starting in a neighbourhood bar in 2004, moving to the West End Cultural Centre and the Park Theatre and then finally taking it to the big stage at Burton Cummings Theatre last year, the show is the true success story of a proudly local band that decided to go big and a hometown willing to come along for the ride.

As any one who’s been to Quinzmas can tell you, Quinzy, along with their progressive folk partners-in-crime House of Doc, strive every year to create the most memorable, beautiful, strange Christmas concert possible, incorporating everything from balloons, glitter, recorder-medleys, ill-advised superhero costumes, cardboard doves, something called a ‘Keyboard Tree’, Toto covers, trumpets, trombones, french-horns, bow-ties, robots, Bing Crosbies, David Bowies, baby hippopotamus and operatic Santas.

It has been a glorious, hilarious, and magical nine years for Quinzmas. And now it’s time to say goodnight with one final extravaganza!
