About

Renée Lamoureux is a Canadian born singer songwriter hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba.  With her pop-fueled songwriting abilities and a voice that ranges from soulfully powerful to sweet and gentle, Renée Lamoureux has been wowing fans ever since she first arrived in the music scene gaining exposure through her success as one half member of Canadian duo Keith and Renée.  Launching eight albums in total during her music career, Renée has won and been nominated for numerous awards, toured across North America and contributed her philanthropy work with Free The Children.

Born and raised in Ile Des Chênes; a small French town south of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Renée began exploring music with piano lessons at the age of six and discovered her singing voice around that same time after her parents bought her and her siblings a microphone.  Renée wrote her first song at the age of ten when her 5th grade teacher rented a drum machine and assigned the class to write a song and perform it live to their parents.

Renée has blazed her own trail by independently issuing her proper albums, the latest one being the most engaging to stand out: ‘Dare to be You’, is about to release in spring 2016.  Forty newly composed songs were whittled down to a total of 11, with more emphasis being paid to the songwriter's peppier material. Featuring a variety of uplifting tunes, Renée was inspired to write a bold and brave album circling around never giving up on your dreams and following your heart.   Produced by Murray Pulver, the album is packed with star players who lend a hand in creating the magic behind the meaning of the tunes.  Renée released her first single and video: ‘This is our Night’ in the fall of 2015, followed by her second single: ‘I’m a Fighter’ which is due out March of 2016.
