Our debut LP 'Forgiver' was recorded at Montreal's Breakglass Studio and Winnipeg's Private Ear with Jace Lasek (The Besnard Lakes, Patrick Watson, Wolf Parade). We invite you to celebrate the release of this album with us at these two hometown shows before we head to play in Europe for a month!

The second of the two release shows will be hosted by our pals at The Good Will Social Club. We are proud to be playing alongside one of our favourite artists in this city, Micah Visser, as well as Calgary's extremely talented Boreal Sons.

Yes We Mystic:

Delivering at times like a dive into a dark, warm ocean, and at others like a blast of icy water on bare skin, Yes We Mystic is a dynamic and emotional musical powerhouse originating out of Winnipeg, Canada. Approaching genre as a tool rather than a barrier, the band takes instruments, ideas, and sounds from wherever they can to craft something that is all at once exhilarating, heartrending, pummelling, and grand. Hurling rock together with folk, hip-hop, and R&B, strings and mandolins together with synthesizers, pedals, samples, and vocal effects, they come up with songs that can mellow and groove but climb in an instant to towering, frenzied heights. Throwing opposites together has been a practice that they keep coming back to. The result is both unconventional and weirdly relatable. 

Praised as “the purest orchestral pop”, and charged with a “fearless creative energy”, Yes We Mystic has in recent years become a steadily growing force on the Canadian indie scene. In 2016, with their debut record Forgiver set for release in Canada and Germany, they will for the first time bring their commanding live show to the other side of the Atlantic, playing in Germany, France and the UK.

Micah Visser:

Born out of unsuspecting Winnipeg, Manitoba comes Micah Visser. A solo project as eclectic as the city it came from. First receiving attention with a few scrappy EPs, and eventually garnering serious acclaim for the “haunting sketch of youth”, ok night.

Visser didn't stop there though. Eager to push himself and his band further, they spent the months following ok night's release fervently crafting a new sound. Micah Visser is both restless and meticulous, and the single "I Will Not Return as a Tourist" makes this abundantly clear. It shows Visser pushing far outside his comfort zone, and even further outside what is expected of a solo artist. This frantic single is not only expanding on the raw emotion and energy that Micah Visser has become synonymous with, it is a sign of things to come.

Boreal Sons:

Boreal Sons are an art-rock band whose imaginative compositions are as emotive as they are intelligent, pairing sweeping instrumental arrangements with vivid lyrical imagery and pop-inspired melodies. 

As a band Boreal Sons have already cultivated a maturity to their sound that defies the relatively young age of its members, and it seems clear that they have crafted their compositions with the intent to form a meaningful and thoughtful connection between musician and listener. At times powerful and explosive, at times calm and simple, Boreal Sons’ music overflows with ingenuity and integrity, harboring at once elation and dread but never once losing faith.
