About

The Good Will Social Club is proud to present:

Jenny Berkel w/ Andrina Turenne, Slow Leaves

$10 at the door.

About Jenny Berkel:
Since releasing her debut album, Canadian singer-songwriter Jenny Berkel has been enchanting listeners with her evocative songs and voice. Both on her own and as part of Daniel Romano's Trilliums band, her consistent touring has garnered fans across the country and ocean.
Born in the heart of Ontario's lush forests and fields, Berkel's music has drawn her from rural Ontario to Winnipeg to Toronto and now, finally, to Montreal. This constant shifting finds its rest in her songs: dreamy and piercing, Berkel’s lyrics shimmer with memories of childhood, place and home.

Berkel's new sophomore album, Pale Moon Kid (Pheromone Recordings) was recorded with gifted producer Daniel Romano. Described by Exclaim! Magazine as “a smouldering sound to behold” and “acutely poetic,” this glowing new collection reveals writing that has grown even sharper and more lyrical.

Andrina Turenne:

Born and raised in Saint-Boniface, Manitoba, Andrina Turenne joined her first band in 1997, and has had a career in music ever since. A singer and musician, she's performed and toured on a regular basis for nearly 20 years, taking her to stages on three continents, in countless cities, and everywhere from celebrated music halls to roadside watering holes along the way. She has sung on award-winning records with various artists, and plays locally, both solo, and with long-time bands. She is co-founding member of Juno award-winning group Chic Gamine.

Slow Leaves:

Slow Leaves is the project of Winnipeg’s Grant Davidson who began making albums under his own name in 2006. After leaving his day job in 2012 to work on music full-time, Davidson adopted the project name Slow Leaves for subsequent releases the Second Chances EP and the full-length Beauty Is So Common. Slow Leaves garnered national attention in 2015 for his selection in the Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class by a jury of high-profile industry personnel. Known for his easy delivery of sincere, poetic lyrics and lilting melodies, Davidson’s songs linger in the timeless spaces where heart and Canadian humility endure.
