About

NERVE is KEN Mode's new EP coming out Nov 10 via Reptilian Records, a three song B-sides 7” EP simply titled “NERVE”.
Three unreleased tracks from the Steve Albini recorded ‘Success’ sessions of late 2014.

KEN mode is a Juno award-winning, Canadian metallic hardcore-influenced noise rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, that was formed by brothers Jesse and Shane Matthewson in September 1999. The group released several demos, leading to their debut full length, 2003's Mongrel.

In 2010 the band announced its fourth full-length, Venerable; to be recorded August 2010 with Kurt Ballou of Converge. They also announced several North American tours with Gaza, Engineer, Rosetta, Buried Inside, Wolvhammer, Clinging To The Trees Of A Forest Fire, and others. Venerable was released March 15, 2011 surrounded by an unrelenting tour schedule followed for the bulk of 2011 and beginning of 2012. On March 31, 2012 Venerable won the inaugural Heavy Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year Juno Award in Canada. Venerable was also nominated for Rock Album of the Year by the Western Canadian Music Awards.

March 2013 saw the release of Entrench through New Damage Records in Canada. The album was mixed by Matt Bayles and was extremely well-received amongst both fans and critics. Entrench was longlisted for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize in June 2013. KEN mode continues to tour relentlessly, proving that despite being a well-seasoned band, they won't be calling it a day anytime soon.

About tunic:
After two years of heavy touring, Tunic have honed four songs into pure filth. Made in the image of punk-stalwarts Scratch Acid, Void, and Big Black, Tunic are a progression of the three-piece punk unit. Beginning with the caterwauls of David Schellenberg’s guitar, Rory Ellis’s disturbing low-end throttle, and the relentless rhythm of Samuel Neal, Disappointment builds to a mania that seems impossible to sustain. Yet, somehow, each track manages to compliment the last and push the record forward with relentless momentum.

About Beth:
Beth is a new local Winnipeg band featuring members of Pop Crimes, Conduct and Black Cloud.
