Hello, Voices! It's been too long!

After a bit of shuffling of dates, we have decided to host our spring open mic on THURSDAY, APRIL 20th! We are so excited to open up the stage to you again, and we hope that poets and poet-supporters alike will all come out to the wonderful Sam's Place to celebrate together. 

Sign up starts at 7:00 pm, and we will begin the show at 7:30. Performers ages 14-22 are especially welcome- this is a space to celebrate young artists! Any type of slam poetry, page poetry, stand-up comedy, or musical act is welcome. Remember, this isn't an official slam, so you are allowed props, costumes, and a little more leniancy with the time limits, if you want! Have fun with it.

Also, make sure to read the Voices, Ink. Code of Honour before you get up on stage. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/419176024809925/853477454713111/) We are committed to creating safer spaces for everyone in our community, and to maintaining our integrity as artists.

Sam's Place is a wheelchair-accessible venue. If you need help organizing a ride to or from the event, or want to carpool, feel free to contact Amber Leenders.
