Michel Germain first burst onto the Winnipeg music scene as the frontman of esteemed indie hellions Banned From Atlantis. Since then his relentless love of all things music and sound has led him on a Homeric odyssey of creative exploration. You may have seen Michel ripping up weird sonic angles as the frontman of Mikimoto, laying down a bass groove along side Greg MacPherson, twinkling some funky keys with The Hummers, or expanding your idea of what some cymbals, mallets, microphones and warped electronics can achieve, in the name of experimental sound design. When he’s not playing any instrument in any genre he’s probably editing the sound behind some of Winnipeg’s best boundary-busting independent film and video productions. Most recently Michel has decided to strip it down to a solo stage experience of vocal tangles and Danelectro jangles.
