The Listening Booth is a unique performance experience presented in the Agassiz Chamber Music Festival 2017. It will see cellist Leanne Zacharias perform multiple small-scale solo recitals, for a single audience member at a time. Each recital is approximately 20 minutes in length, featuring solo cello works. Four recital slots will be offered each day from Monday to Friday, for which interested participant listeners sign up in advance. For the performer, Listening Booth is a durational performance project; for the audience, it’s a rare opportunity for a close encounter with solo cello repertoire performed live, especially for them.
