Fière Manitobaine de longue date, SUZANNE KENNELLY revient à la chanson après une fructueuse carrière d'animatrice à Radio-Canada. Elle se réjouit de pouvoir retrouver la scène artistique manitobaine comme interprète et auteure-compositrice.

Suzanne s'est lancé le défi unique de vivre le jazz en français. Pourquoi? Parce que le jazz, ce magnifique enfant du blues, nourrit l’artiste dans l'instantané et dans le moment présent. ‘’C'est l'univers qui fait vibrer mon âme’’ dit-elle. ‘’Éphémère et exigeant, émouvant et libérateur et la langue française devient le parfait instrument pour que j’explore toute la gamme des émotions qui habitent cette musique’’.

De sa voix chaude et puissante, elle interprète dans leurs versions françaises des grands classiques du jazz américain et international, des chansons populaires adaptées et des compositions originales. Un parfait métissage d'airs connus et de répertoire qui ne demande qu'à être découvert.

Suzanne crée du répertoire jazz original en français. Le travail d'auteure-compositrice la passionne. Pour elle, le jazz doit continuer à évoluer, à s'adapter dans la forme et dans le propos.


Proud Manitoban, SUZANNE KENNELLY returns to the song after a successful career as an animator at Radio-Canada. She is pleased to be able to return to the Manitoba artistic scene as an interpreter and songwriter.

Suzanne launched the unique challenge of living jazz in French. Why? Because jazz, this magnificent child of the blues, nourishes the artist in the instant and in the present moment. "It's the universe that makes my soul vibrate," she said. '' Ephemeral and demanding, moving and liberating and the French language becomes the perfect instrument for me to explore the full range of emotions that inhabit this music ''.

In her warm and powerful voice, she interprets in their French versions the great classics of American and international jazz, popular songs adapted and original compositions. A perfect blend of known tunes and repertoire that just needs to be discovered.

Suzanne creates an original jazz repertoire in French. She is passionate about her work as a composer. For her, jazz must continue to evolve, to adapt in form and in purpose.
