Late last year, acclaimed jazz saxophonist, composer, and arranger Janice Finlay released Anywhere But Here, the highly-anticipated follow-up to her Western Canadian Music Award-winning album, She's Hip. The new CD -- which was produced my Musirex Productions and features top jazz names -- has been garnering critical attention, including recent coverage from CBC Scene and the Winnipeg Free Press. Finlay is back on the stage this month with her trio at a performance at the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain for Mardi Jazz on January 10. Later this month, she'll also be offering an evening Jazz Appreciation course through the St. James-Assiniboia School Division's Continuing Education Department, January 18 through February 8.
