Royal Canoe
"Today We're Believers"

From the album Today We're Believers

Featured track, available from August 22 to August 30

The wait is finally over: Royal Canoe's highly anticipated full length, Today We're Believers, hits shelves on September 3. There's almost too much to say about the indie pop outfit. In the last year alone, the band released a couple of critically-acclaimed EPs; signed not one but two record deals; landed major media attention from the New York TimesCBS NewsFILTER, and many (many) more; racked up over 10,000 views for its quirky "Bathtubs" video; wowed audiences at the WSO's New Music Festival; offered up a beautiful live performance of "Exodus of the Year" for the Loft Sessions; and set up its multitudenous keyboards on stages across Canada, the U.S., and Europe. Is that everything? Not even. Check out this Royal news roundup and Jen Zoratti's interview in the Winnipeg Free Press.

Winnipeg audiences will have two chances to celebrate with Royal Canoe, including an all-ages show at the Park Theatre on August 22 and a release party at the Union Sound Hall on August 23. After that, the band heads back out on the road for dates across the U.S. and Canada, including opening spots for acclaimed English indie rockers Alt-J in California and New York City, a showcase at Pop Montreal, and a performance at the National Arts Centre, before heading to Reykjavik's Icelandic Airwaves Festival.

The title track off Today We're Believers is our featured song this week. Download it, see the band live, buy the album, and stay tuned for more Royal Canoe headlines.
