Manitoba Music is making its third pilgrimage to New York next week for two eclectic showcases of emerging acts for industry and fans at the massive music Mecca. Four local acts -- Boats, Indicator Indicator, Les Jupes, and Lost Weekend -- will hit the stage at Lower East Side venue Arlene’s Grocery on November 25 and The Rock Shop in Brooklyn the next night. The NYC showcases come hot on the heels of Manitoba Music's events at Montreal and right before another showcase in Toronto on November 28. For those who aren't lucky enough to make it out to the showcases, and even for those who are, Lost Weekend's track "Let Me In" is this week's featured song. Recently signed to Universal/Rondor, Lost Weekend’s live show and digital-only EP stream, created with Grammy nominated producer Zach Heiligman (Foster the People), has earned the band fans across the U.S. and Canada. The band has showcased for Billboard, made its SXSW debut, had its video for "Let Me In" featured on MTV Iggy,and became regulars at mainstay L.A. venues such as the Viper Room and Satellite. Most recenlty, the band has been working with producer Oren Yoel (of Miley Cyrus' "Adore You" among other credits) and will head back to L.A. in January to showcase for labels.
