Acclaimed singer/songwriter Don Amero, along with Juno-winning roots quartet Nathan, Canadian Aboriginal Music Award-winning fiddler Darren Lavallee, and the Norman Chief Memorial Dancers are set to perform at a fundraiser for First Nations in Manitoba affected by the H1N1 Flu. The August 21 event will take place at the West End Cultural Centre with all profits donated to the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs who will be purchasing H1N1 medical kits for First Nations households throughout Manitoba. Click here to find out more about the fundraiser.

Amero and his latest release, Deepening,  just landed two nominations for the 2009 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards, for Entertainer of the Year and Best Folk or Acoustic CD. You can catch his latest single, "She," from The Loudspeaker until August 27.
