Balanced Records is a teenager! The Winnipeg-based electronic label is celebrating its 13th birthday with a bash at the Fox and Fiddle on May 10. The party features Winnipeg-born dub producer and DJ Seed Organization returning from Montreal, along with local Balanced producers Kasm, Solidaze, and Redworm. We've got a special birthday greeting this week in the form of label manager Kasm's exclusive advanced remix of Skyscaper's "Noctilucent Clouds" featuring expat SuhniSea on vocals. Balanced will release the Swedish sound designer's EP, the label's 40th release, on June 9. Look for Kasm at MEME's 1001 Nights event at the Pyramid Cabaret (and Friday nights on CKUW 95.9 FM's Quadrafunk, Winnipeg’s longest running DJ show).
