Jocelyne Baribeau
"Entre toi et moi"

From the album Entre toi et moi

Featured track, available from April 2 to April 10

Jocelyne Baribeau is getting ready to share her new album, Entre toi et moi. Co-produced by Murray Pulver and Daniel ROA with Don Benedictson at the engineering helm, the new LP features a veritable who's who of the local music scene, including Joey Landreth (The Bros. Landreth), Julian Bradford, Marc Arnould, Jeremy Rusu, Richard Moody, Claire Morrison, Ariane Jean, Sierra Noble, and members of the Dust Rhinos (plus artwork by recent JUNO winner, Roberta Hansen). The album follows up the Franchophone singer/songwriter's Western Canadian Music Award-nominated debut, Petit Papiers, which introduced audiences to her folk/pop and country-tinged tunes (younger audiences may know her alter ego, children's performer Madame Diva). Baribeau has been keeping busy since, with performances at BreakOut West and Festival du Voyageur among others, and just returned a week-long co-writing residence in PEI where she  composed and recorded seven works with two other songwriters with input from Francophone youth and artists from the area. Nominated for the prestigious Gala des prix Trille Or, she'll head to Ottawa for the May 7 event and hit the showcase stage on May 6. But before that, Baribeau will introduce Entre toi et moi to her hometown at The Park Theatre on April 14. The title track if our featured song this week. Download "Entre toi et moi", stay tuned for a new video, and don't miss Jocelyne Baribeau live.
