William Prince
"The Carny"

From the album The Carny (single)

Featured track, available from June 4 to June 12

Things are going to get a little extra fun this weekend in Winnipeg's west central neighbourhood. The Ellice Street Festival is kicking of its 16th annual festivities on June 5, bringing two days of live music, barbecue, and a kid's carnival. Singer/songwriter powerhouse William Prince will hit the Ellice Avenue outdoor stage on June 6 for live music from noon until 4PM, along with The Mariachi Ghost, Seanster and the Monsters, Scott Nolan, and Fresh I.E. The JD Edwards Band and Cassidy Mann will kick things off the night before with a free concert at the West End Cultural Centre. This isn't your only chance to hear Prince, who also sings with award-winning pop/rock outfit Indian City and has been working with Nolan on his debut album. He'll be at the WECC on June 12 for Don Amero's album release, and will also perform at the Aboriginal Day Live festivities side stage at The Forks and the Pyramid that night. To help kick off a tremendous summer of live music outdoors, we're featuring Prince's tune "The Carny" this week. Download, head to the Ellice Street Festival, and don't miss William Prince live on stage.
