Deep Dark Cave is coming into the light. Fresh from a spot on Shaw TV, the emerging indie rock act is gearing up to hit the stage at this year's Uniter Fiver Showcase, which turns the spotlight on five new local bands, chosen by public vote. Taking over The Good Will on January 14, the annual event also features sets by fellow Fivers The Middle Coast, Adam Hanney & Co., Ashley Bieniarz, and Fox Lake. Deep Dark Cave may be a new project on the music landscape, but its players are no strangers to the scene. Each band member -- lead singer Jeremy Koz, guitarist Marc Jaworski, keyboardist and producer Joey Moore, drummer Chris Sitarz, and bassist Darren Dujlovic -- has earned nods and honours in various outfits, including Koz and Jaworski's acclaimed former band, Floor Thirteen. Fans can look forward to a debut full length with producer John Paul Peters in late spring.
