Quinton Blair is gearing up for another busy year. Fresh from recent showcases spots at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City and Flin Flon's Manitoba Showcase, not to mention honours at November's Manitoba Country Music Awards, the country roots artist is set to release his latest recording, Cash Crop. He'll take over the RBC Convention Centre on April 9 for an album release party, which is also in support of the Central Canada Reining Horse Association, along with opening act, Sask-based country troubadour Blake Berglund, Belle Plaine, and more. Blair's new tune "Followin Him Around" is our featured track this week. Co-written with Berglund and fellow Manitoba singer/songwriter, Del Barber, the song was penned in Blair's the day after the MCMA awards and came about talking about the pressures of farming on young people.
