Kevin Roy
"Same Old Sky"

From the album Heartworn Highways

Featured track, available from September 15 to September 23

This fall is a busy time for new music and one of the albums making its way from the studio to your ears comes from Kevin Roy. The country/roots troubadour launches his debutLP, Heartworn Highways, on September 23 at the West End Cultural Centre, along with openers Roger Roger. The album, produced by Lloyd Peterson at Paintbox Recording and supported through Kickstarter, follows up Roy's 2014 EP, Taller Than The Trees, and features the talents of local musicians like pedal steel virtuoso Bill Western, Red Moon Road’s Daniel Peloquin-Hopfner on banjo, and vocalists Madeleine Roger. Next up, he'll hit the road for a Western Canadian release tour, including a stop at Brandon's Prairie Firehouse on October 8. We've got his tune "Same Old Sky" for you this week. Get it, keep it, and catch Kevin Roy's live on stage.
