"Miss Me (Kasm Remix)"

From the album Miss Me EP

Featured track, available from October 13 to October 21

Balanced Records is turning 15. Sure, maybe the Winnipeg-based collective of electronic music producers isn't old enough to drive, but it is old enough to have released close to 60 titles (along with its sub labels, Balanced House and Green House). Some of the label's highlights over the years include DJ Brace's JUNO-winning Nostomania, Flying Down Thunder & Rise Ashen's JUNO nod for Aboriginal Album of the Year, a collaboration between famed David Lynch composer Angelo Badalamenti and Fascade@137db, and this year's epic Paris To Kyiv Fragmenti Remixes project. It also landed some music on TV shows like Alias, LA Complex, Beauty and the Beast, and Prison Break, and hosted showcases in cities across the globe. The label will celebrate with a birthday bash at Exchange District haunt Forth on October 15 featuring Kasm, label co-owner Seed Organization, Solidaze, Equanim, Samo, Ali Khan, Crabskull, Redworm, and former-Winnipegger Brace (2016 Canadian DMC champ). Coming up in early December, Balanced will be releasing a compilation that covers some favourite tracks since its 2001 start as well as some newer unreleased material, including Kasm's remix of UK-based production duo Homegroove Project's "Miss Me"... which just so happens to be our featured track this week. Get yourself a sneak peek and get yourself out to Forth. Happy birthday, Balanced!
