Palm Trees
"Fades"

From the album States

Featured track, available from January 5 to January 13

Palm Trees is ready to warm up your January with its ethereal sounds. The ever-evolving cast of local musicians -- which currently features members of Living Hour, Slow Spirit, Odd Outfit, and Do Make Say Think -- is set to release its debut album this month on local label Slow Shine Records. Recorded and mixed by J. Riley Hill (À La Mode, Mulligrub, Living Hour) and mastered in New York by Jamal Ruhe (Swans, Built to Spill, Frankie Cosmos), States features the experimental outfit's signature post-ambient compositions, effects-treated guitars, piano, strings, and horns. Palm Trees has previously contributed Real Love Winnipeg's Beach Station Blues III, IV, and V compilations. The band takes over The Good Will on January 12 to celebrate the new album, along with sets from Mahogany Frog, Animal Teeth, and Raina Galadriel Moon. Next up, the musicians will be working on another album and a film score they have in the works. While you wait for doors to open at the release party, chill with Palm Trees' tune "Fades" off States and stay tuned for more.
