Joanne Pollock
"River Flood"

From the album

Featured track, available from January 26 to February 3

It's time for Big Fun! The annual winter music fest kicked off its five-day run on Jan 25 and you can find all the show details right here. One of the 45+ acts hitting the stage during this year's festivities is Joanne Pollock, who plays the Manitoba Music showcase on January 27 at The Good Will with Mulligrub, Slow Spirit, Micah Visser, and Ponteix. The electronic artist, producer, and Venetian Snares collaborator — who is also one half of the band Poemss — is gearing up for the release of her first full-length album in the spring. She's been turning heads already, with nods from the likes od Noisey and MyToba for her new video for "River Flood". That track just so happens to be our featured song this week. Written, recorded, and produced by Pollock in her studio, the song is about moving to Winnipeg and her experience making the first Poemss album. Press play/download on Pollock's tune, stay tuned for more music from her, and do not miss her at Big Fun (or anything else at the festival, for that matter).
