Madame Diva
"Je t'aime"

From the album Zing-E-Zing

Featured track, available from February 9 to February 16

One of the city's biggest celebrations is just around the corner... Now in its 48th year, Festival du Voyageur has built a reputation for booking diverse acts covering just about every genre imaginable. One of the artists hitting the stage this year is acclaimed Franco-Manitobain children's songwriter Madame Diva, who is set to release her new album Zing-E-Zing during the winter festivities. She'll bring the music and the puppets to the Red River MTS Tent at Voyageur Park on February 18 for an afternoon show at 12:30PM. You can also catch her a handful of other times during the winter festivities. The alter ego of Western Canadian Music Award winner Jocelyne Baribeau, Madame Diva's new album features some familiar names from the local scene, including producer Daniel ROA and engineer Paul Yee, and musicians Murray Pulver, Julian Bradford, Marc Arnould, Jeremy Rusu, Patti Kusturok, and more. To get you into the Voyageur spirit, we've got Madame Diva's tune "Je t'aime" as this week's featured song. Composed primarily by Baribeau's son Micah, the two sing the song to one another via FaceTime when she's on the road. Get the tune, check out the whole album, and don't miss your chance to bring the kidlets to see Madame Diva live at Festival du Voyageur.

Be sure to check out all the Festival du Voyageur shows in our online listings and the free MB Live app.
