Faouzia
"My Heart's Grave"

From the album My Heart's Grave (Single)

Featured track, available from September 28 to October 6

This just might be Faouzia's year. Born in Morocco and raised in Carman, the 17-year-old singer/songwriter -- who is part of the Pipe & Hat roster -- has been winning over fans and critics alike with her powerhouse vocals and hook-filled pop tunes. Her brand new single "My Heart's Grave" has racked up several thousand plays in just a few days on Spotify, her video for "Knock On My Door" has been seen over 100,000 times on YouTube, and she's been on the main stages in front of big crowds this summer at Canada 150 at The Forks (including a nationally broadcast duet with Whitehorse), Canada Summer Games, and Interstellar Rodeo. She won the coveted International Songwriting Competition grand prize, picked up the Unsigned Only grand prize as well as the Rising Star Award from the Broadcasters Association of Manitoba, started working with Paradigm Talent Agency, and recently earned nods from The Globe and Mail, CBC, Canadian Musician, and Winnipeg Free Press. Winnipeg audiences can catch her live on Nuit Blanche (Sep 30) at the Winnipeg Centre Vineyard for the Wall-To-Wall Mural + Culture Festival closer, alongside DJ Shub, Super Duty Tough Work, and Studio 393 (she takes the stage at 6:30). Stay tuned for a brand new video. For you this week we've got her single "My Heart's Grave". Get it into your ears and don't miss Faouzia live on stage.
