Urban funk outfit Wang the Merciless is kicking off 2010 with a commitment to help fight poverty and hunger. The band will use its first four shows of the year to do just that with its Funk Hunger 2010 campaign. It'll be supporting Winnipeg Harvest with its first show, which hits the Pyramid on January 15. John Blackwood and the Housewives, The Playing Cards, and DJ DubZero are also on the bill. You can catch them all for $10 or a mere $5 if you bring a non-perishable food item. Meanwhile, Wang the Merciless offers you "Funky Heaven" through The Loudspeaker, available until January 14.
