Ian La Rue & The Condor is ready to reveal A History of Layers . A year and a half in the making, La Rue's fourth album was co-produced by Mike Petkau at MCM Studios and features the new incarnation of  The Condor: bassist Louis Levèsque Coté (Crosstown Rivals), drummer Matt Magura (The Magnificent 7's), and guitarist Andrew Workman. The CD release party hits the West End Cultural Centre on February 12, where the band gets some help from openers Nova and Canon Bros. Meanwhile, give yourself an audio valentine... download  "Sanguine Cursive" from The Loudspeaker, available until February 18.
