Singer/songwriter Cat Jahnke is just about ready to release her long-awaited third album of original material, The Stories Are Taking Their Toll. Jahnke hasn't exactly been resting on her laurels since her 2006 release, None of Those Things. In addition to a 2008 Christmas album and hitting the road across the country a few times, Jahnke has also been busy composing for film and TV. Her original score can be heard in NBC's innovative online comedy series, Ctrl, starring Arrested Development's Tony Hale. Jahnke will screen the web series at her CD release party at The Park Theatre on November 12, where you can also catch an opening set by Scott Nolan. Jahnke will head to The Folk Exchange the following night for the Manitoba Music Songwriters Showcase, which also features performances by Jaylene Johnson, Keri Latimer, JP Hoe, and James Struthers. Download brand her new tune, "You Do Me Wrong," available in The Loudspeaker until November 11.
