Les Jupes is set to release its long-awaited debut full-length CD, Modern Myths, produced by Montreal producer/engineer Marcus Paquin (Arcade Fire's Neon Bible and The Suburbs, Torngat, Stars) with the band's front man, Mike Petkau Falk. The Winnipeg-based indie pop outfit is part of Head in the Sand's musical family, which includes Royal Canoe, The Liptonians, Record of the Week Club, Courier News, and more. Les Jupes will take over the newly-constructed Plug In ICA with special guests Ian La Rue & The Condor and This Hisses on January 15. After launching the CD, they'll head out on the road for a tour of western Canada and the U.S. in February and hit showcases at Toronto's Canadian Music Week and Austin's South by Southwest in March.
