The curtain is up and the Winnipeg International Jazz Festival is ready to kick off this year's festivities with a bang. The free opening weekend takes over The Cube in the heart of the Exchange District June 13 - 16, one of the summer's best sources for live local music. Over 20 acts will hit the stage while many more can be found playing clubs and venues through Jazz Fest's 10-night run. One of the performers playing at Old Market Square is Greg Arcade, who'll be bringing his rockabilly style on June 15 with His Rockin' Band as part of stellar lineup that also includes Royal Canoe, Boats, Romi Mayes, The F-Holes, and Cannon Bros. (plus Toronto's Maylee Todd). You'll be able to find Arcade on plenty of summer stages coming up, including a busy weekend August 1-3 that'll have him at the Gas Station Village Market, Gimli's annual music fest, and the new Metropolitan Theatre for River City Rumble. To celebrate, we've got Greg Arcade's some "If You Don't Mind..." off his new release, Ready to Go, as this week's featured song. Download it and get out there and see some great live music!
