DESCRIPTION

Manitoba Music’s Aboriginal Music Program and Ndinawemaaganag Endaawaad Inc. are partnering to present the Aboriginal Songwriters in Residence with Don Amero and Jason Tuesday. The residency will run July 22 and 23 and it includes six one-on-one consultation spots at the Manitoba Music Resource Centre along with a Community Jam Session at Ndinawe’s North End Arts Centre from 6pm - 8pm on July 22. Registration is free for Aboriginal youth between 14 and 29 years of age and members of Manitoba Music.

The Community Jam Session with Don Amero & Jason Tuesday

Don Amero and Jason Tuesday will lead a two-hour jam session for Aboriginal youth at Ndinawe’s North End Arts Centre. Please bring an instrument, a song you want help finishing, or just your interest in live music. Don and Jason will take turns playing some of their songs and provide musical support to any youth interested in songwriting or making beats. Space is limited, so please register in advance with Niki Little, Ndinawe’s Art Program Coordinator (art@ndinawe.ca).
