Leanne Pearson is a twenty-two year old determined singer/songwriter from Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Her natural stage presence and fresh, authentic voice has been turning heads whenever she steps on stage. Leanne takes influence from great Canadian superstars like Shania Twain, Bryan Adams and Celine Dion. Leanne's sweet and distinct diction adds a unique style to her music. With a touch of Jennifer Nettles, Colbie Caillat and Sarah McLachlan, Leanne's voice resonates in the hearts of all who hear her. With close to two decades of experience, Leanne has been passionately singing and performing since the age of four. She was in musical theatre for seven years beginning at the age of seven. In 2009, Leanne auditioned for Country Music Televisions (CMT) Karaoke Star. Based on fan votes she was chosen as the winner for Winnipeg and advanced to the National Top Ten Finale, filmed in Banff. In addition to singing, song writing and playing guitar, Leanne has interests and abilities in acting, modeling and dance. In April 2011, Leanne graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) majoring in Psychology from the University of Manitoba, where she is on the Dean's Honour List.  Leanne also has her black belt in Tae Kwondo and when she's not singing, she enjoys running and playing sports. Whether she's singing at a retirement home or playing sports with kids, Leanne loves to volunteer her time. In December 2010, Leanne donated 9 inches of hair to make a wig for those suffering from cancer. Leanne puts her heart into everything she does. Her energetic and determined nature is contagious and refreshing. While pursing the country music industry full time, Leanne continues to rise to challenges and learns from each opportunity she confronts. Not only does she have the dream, but the drive to propel her forward.
