Anywhere But Here, Janice Finlay's latest CD, is charting high and garnering great reviews south of the Canadian border.
All-about-jazz.com writer Edward Blanco enthusiastically reviewed the CD on February 4/2012, declaring that "...(Finlay's) audacious Anywhere But Here confirms her inclusion as a top-tier jazz artist anywhere in the world" while also stating that "... the album sparkles in the finest hard bop and modern jazz traditions. This week Anywhere But Here debuted on the U.S. national radio airplay jazz chart JazzWeek chart at number 24 (of 50) and has been in the top 10 lists at no less than 10 U.S. radio stations! In Canada, the CD debuted at number 5 on the earshot! chart during the final week of January 2012 following its adds on January 9/12.
