Hot Blizzard Folk Fest is here!

Manitoba’s winter folk festival will be celebrating its fifth anniversary this Saturday! Take a day trip to escape society and "melt the winter blues"...

Hot Blizzard takes place in a large historic church in downtown Portage la Prairie, just 45 minutes west of Winnipeg.

More than six hours of live music invites festival goers to melt the winter blues with a mid-winter retreat that will warm the soul. A musician workshop and jam session are just some of the highlights of the fest! The Perpetrators, Leaf Rapids, Astheur, and Tracy K Blues Duo are a few of the acts on the bill.

The folk festival has something for everyone, including eclectic talent, and the opportunity to lift one’s spirits and dance.
