'Rhythm is not in the instrument, it's in you,' says Mr. Mark, an original showman who enjoys exploring everyday items to create 'found sounds'. Being an enthusiastic and energetic musician, Mr. Mark likes to inject a lively mix of quirkiness, fun and adventure to his shows. He has performed at many festivals such as Winnipeg International Children's Festival (including a Circus and Magic Camp run by the festival), Walt Disney's Winnie the Pooh Friendship Day, Folklorama and numerous festivals throughout Manitoba and North Dakota . In the past Mr. Mark has played with some of Canada's better known family performers, most notably Fred Penner and Jake Chenier. Citing his sons and family life as inspirations for his music, Mr. Mark keeps a close ear to his target audience: families. During his family shows, he enjoys working with his young audience through improvisation and experimentation .
