The Market Development Program connects the Manitoba music industry to artists, tastemakers, decision makers, and brokers in the broader national and international music industry by:

The Market Development Program includes pan-industry promotion and targeted market development support through trade missions, industry showcases, marketing events, online marketing, and public events.

The Market Development Program has hosted events at conferences and festivals such as South by Southwest, North by Northeast, Canadian Music Week, International Folk Alliance, OCFF, Musexpo, midem, and more.

Market Access Program

The Market Access Program supports Manitoba artists and music industry professionals in attending and enhancing their presence at professionally organized music industry conferences and showcases, in significantly enhancing their access to new markets, and in developing new business relationships through purposely organized showcases.

Music Industry Internship Program

The Music Industry Internship Program supports paid internships at established and recognized music companies in Manitoba. The goals of the program are to support the creation of sustainable jobs in Manitoba’s music industry, to mentor new workers in the music industry, and to provide human resource assistance to Manitoba companies with a shortage of skilled labour.

Manitoba Music is currently accepting applications from companies and interns.
The deadline for 2012 Internship Program applications is February 16, 2012.

Strategic Consulting Program

The Strategic Consulting Program supports Manitoba music industry companies in the engagement of business development consultants with the goal of increasing company capacity, accelerating company growth, and/or strengthening the company's business model. This flexible program allows companies to design a proposal that best suits their own particular needs for outside expertise.
