The Janice Finlay Sextet's debut feature CD, She's Hip, was recorded at MidCanada Productions by engineer Howie Rissin. The project was produced by Larry Roy and features Janice Finlay, Hugh Fraser, Mike Herriott, Ron Halldorson, Larry Roy, Mike Downes, Kelly Marques and Christian Dugas. The album was nominated for a Western Canada Music Award in the Outstanding Jazz Recording category, and was named one of 2002 top 10 "must-have CDs for 2002" by the Galaxie network.
