The development of Jaylene's writing talent is most notable in Happiness, an offering decidedly more 'pop' than her previous release. With two of Winnipeg's best producers - Brandon Friesen and Phil Deschambault - having worked on the album, its no surprise the lush sounding tracks on Happiness are already gaining ground. Grow was licensed in Canada by CBC Television for use in the show Being Erica, while Happiness, the title track, founds its way to Degrassi: The Next Generation. Her most personal song, "No Matter How Hard We Try" landed a license with hit show Pretty Little Liars.

With online music sales becoming more prominent these days, Jaylene recognized the importance of giving fans added incentive to purchase an actual CD. In addition to online sales of Happiness, Jaylene is offering an 'enhanced' version of the physical CD that includes: Ø Three bonus track that step outside the 'pop' feel. Ø Lyrics pages designed by Samara Wiebe. Ø Written descriptions of all songs and the inspiration behind them. Ø An interview with CBC producer Deana Sumanac. Ø Wallpapers and posters.
