Prairie native and 2015 Sirius XM Indie Award Winner Del Barber has joined The No Regretzkys, taking point with his distinctive vocals and team leadership.  A familiar player at the JUNO Awards, Del Barber has teamed up with The No Regretzkys to record The Puck Drops Here, the perfect soundtrack for game night.

On this collection of time-honoured covers, plus three inspired original numbers, Del Barber and The No Regretzkys pay homage to Canada’s unique love affair with hockey. Barber takes on unofficial national anthems such as Stompin’ Tom Connors’ “The Hockey Song”, Tom Cochrane’s perennial hit “Big League”, the arena-rousing “Rock And Roll (Part 2)” by Gary Glitter, and other gems from the rich history of underdog Canadian songwriters.

“This record was like a scrimmage. we didn’t want it to be too formal. We wanted it to be entertaining,” explains Barber. “As kids we dream about making the NHL, but really, it’s more about doing what we love with our friends.”

And that friendship is as much a part of The Puck Drops Here as the tracks that made the cut. This was a chance for Barber and his dedicated roster of teammates to go end-to-end, recording songs with bigger choruses while still mucking it up in the corners on scrappy punk numbers like The Hanson Brothers’ "Hockey Night Tonight", The Pursuit of Happiness’ “Gretzky Rocks”, or the roadhouse-ready original "Lights Go Out.”
