Three local songwriters are finalists at this year's International Songwriting Competition, one of the most sought-after songwriting prizes.
Nathan singer/songwriter Keri Latimer is in the running for her song "Bad Ideas." Latimer's track, "The Wind" off the band's latest release Key Principles, was a finalist in 2006.
Roots blues singer/songwriter Scott Nolan is a finalist in the same Americana category for "Bad Liver and a Broken Heart" from his latest release, Receiver/Reflector.
Natasha Kaminsky "World Go Round (Vito V Remix)" is a finalist in the Dance/Electronica category.
Winners for the 2007 competition will be announced in April, 2008.
