Academy Food Drinks Music Brings a New Edge to Osborne Village

The newest addition to the Osborne Village scene, The Academy Food Drinks Music, is pleased to announce its Grand Opening Weekend October 18-20.

Located in the heart of the village at 437 Stradbrook, The Academy Food Drinks Music is sure to draw crowds with its tasty menu, delicious drinks and nightly live music.

"We are very excited to officially open our doors after so many months of preparation," said Brian Allison, owner of both The Academy Food Drinks Music and its sister establishment, The Academy Bar and Eatery located at 414 Academy road. " I’m confident that those who live, work, or play in Osborne village will love having a new and exciting restaurant option where they can eat fantastic food created by our Chef, Michael Day, enjoy a few drinks, and appreciate some great live music.”

The Academy Food Drinks Music’s Grand Opening Weekend will have its usual nightly food and drink specials available and will feature the following entertainment:
 Thursday, October 18: The Greg Lowe Trio as well as the kick off of Thursday night’s theme Alexander Keith’s ‘90s Throwback Dance Party
 Friday, October 19: The Real Good Cooks and Others
 Saturday, October 20:The Fighting Hell Fish

With its newly installed state of the art sound system, bands can be appreciated from one of two stages available; one equipped for small intimate shows and the other designed for large professional bands and paired with a 150 person dance floor, mirror ball and everything else you need for a night of fun.

The generously sized 7400 square foot location has a 325 person indoor capacity as well as space for an additional 100 people on The Academy Food Drinks Music’s street front outdoor patio. The facility is also equipped to handle large reservations any day of the week and can be rented out for private parties, socials, and weddings.

The Academy Food Drinks Music will be open for dinner and nightlife Monday – Saturday as well as lunch on Saturday afternoons. Each night will feature some awesome food and drink specials as well as the following theme night entertainment:
 Monday: Sleeman’s Open Mic Night with Little Black Dress
 Tuesday: Big Rock’s Singer/ Songwriter and Karaoke night
 Wednesday: Fort Garry Breweries Indie band/ Student night
 Thursday: Jazz with Greg Lowe Trio from 7:30 to 9:30 topped of by Alexander Keith’s 90’s throwback dance party at 10
 Friday: Headliner Band
 Saturday: Headliner Band
