Doc Walker Set to Release New Album on August 25

As we mentioned last month, Doc Walker are set to release a brand new album on August 25! The as-yet-untitled album is Doc Walker’s fifth release, following Beautiful Life - the 2009 JUNO Award winning album for Country Recording of the Year. After only three weeks on country radio, the band’s first single, “Coming Home,” is top-25! The video premieres on CMT this Saturday, July 4 so be sure to tune in and watch for it.

When asked about the new album, here’s what Chris Thorsteinson had to say: “When Dave, Murray and I sat down to write the new album, we found that our experiences over the past year, both personally and professionally, impacted our songwriting and recording sessions in a really positive way. We hope the fans enjoy this album as much as we enjoyed making it."

Doc Walker recently announced eight dates on their upcoming 23-city tour this September and October, including a show at Winnipeg’s Pantages Playhouse on October 9. More dates will be announced leading up to the album’s release, so visit http://www.docwalker.ca over the coming months to see if the band will be stopping in your town. Doc Walker also have a number of major festival dates lined up for the summer.
