Top 5 from CBC's Manitoba Music Campaign to Perform in Series

Posted on

Last fall, CBC Radio, in partnership with MARIA and Uptown Magazine, launched the Manitoba Music * We Want It All campaign, which encourages recording artists who haven't appeared on CBC Radio to submit their CDs for airplay.

The jury has met, gone through the first round of submissions, and starting next week, the top five acts that answered the call will be featured at weekly series of free concerts. Each concert will be recorded by CBC Radio for broadcast on Arts Encounters on CBC Radio Two 98.3, and Culture Shock, Information Radio and The Afternoon Edition on CBC Radio One 990.

The Manitoba Music * We Want It All call continues, so artists are encouraged to continue sending CBC their work for the next jury round. Even those not selected for the 'top five' are considered for airplay and inclusion in the CBC Radio library.
