MuchMusic to Film Winnipeg Bands

Posted on

MuchMusic videographer Chris Nelson will be in Winnipeg March 4 to film a number of bands performing at an all ages show to be held at the West End Cultural Centre. The concert, dubbed Much Does Winnipeg 2.0, will feature Malefaction, Comeback Kid, Novillero, the Wailin Jennys and burnthe8track.

The lineup is similar to the one Nelson enlisted some Winnipeg insiders to help him assemble when he wanted to film a slice of Winnipegs vibrant music scene last fall. A Regina native, Nelson co-hosts Going Coastal, a weekly, hour long program on MuchMusic dedicated to shining a spotlight on music originating from areas other than the networks hometown of Toronto.

Tickets for Much Does Winnipeg 2.0 are $7 in advance at Into the Music, Music Trader and SK8, and $9 at the door. Doors open at 7:15 and bands go on at 8 p.m. For more information, visit the West End Cultural Centre's site at wecc.ca.
