Six Manitoba Artists Nominated for Vibe Awards

Six Manitoba artists are ready to take home high honours at the 34rd Annual Vibe Awards. The ceremony, which honours the best in Canadian Christian and sacred music, will takes place on March 15 in Toronto.

Recent Grammy-nominated rapper Fresh I.E., aka Rob Wilson, is up for Artist of the Year, New Artist and best Hip-hop Album for his recent release Red Letterz.

Critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter Steve Bell competes with Fresh I.E. for Artist of the Year and is also nominated for Male Soloist of the Year.

Other Manitoba acts include Jazz saxophonist Walle Larsson, who has been nominated for Seasonal Album for A Breath of Christmas and vocalist Liza May for Pop Album for Beyond Me. Juno-nominees Starfield and rock outfit Threadline round out the list of nominees for Group of the Year and Hard Music Album for Undefined, respectively.

The event will also feature performances by Fresh I.E. and Manitoba mainstay Jon Buller.
