WCMAs Hit Edmonton

The 2008 Western Canadian Music Awards are just about ready to hit Edmonton. Fourteen Manitoba acts will take over stages at various downtown venues, showcasing in front of top industry professionals including label reps, producers, media, and more.

Showcasing at this year's WCMA Festival will be Americana duo Twilight Hotel, blues rock outfit The Perpetrators, singer/songwriter Cara Luft and J.P. Hoe, hip-hop act Team Rezofficial, country chanteuse Tracy Bone, bluegrass band House of Doc, Francophone act Deuxième Take, acoustic pop duo Keith and Renee, and indie rock acts The Telepathic Butterflies, Boats, Tele, The Liptonians.

There will also be plenty of Manitoba names heard at the awards gala on October 19 as well as the industry awards brunch on October 18. Manitobans are up for 28 trophies at this year's WCMAs. Click here to read more at this year's nominees...
