A folk duo with a heckuva lot of heart.

Meet Caleb Friesen and Karla Adolphe. Performing under the name of Jacob and Lily, they're our featured concert this week on the (204).

Caleb and Karla started playing together in church and discovered they had a lot of musical chemistry. They've been performing as Jacob and Lily for a few years now, and there doesn't seem to be any signs of stopping. But, if you're already tapped into their music, you may have noticed that they haven't been playing the local "folk circuit" much lately. Not to worry. For the last 6 weeks they were touring in Southern Ontario and the Eastern States. And now they're back. They play at the Morden Back 40 Folk Festival this Sunday June 7, as well as the Park Theatre in Winnipeg on June 28.

This is what Jacob and Lily look like on stage. Eyes closed and bit lips are signs of intense passion for music.

AND, of course, there's always a lil' thing called The (204). Tune in this weekend to hear their performance at the Folk Exchange last year. If you can't tune in, check it at the Concerts on Demand site.

Other features on this this week:
- quirky chanteuse Christine Fellows
- rawkers American Flamewhip
- and a Western States prize pack (hint: their new CD and tickets to their concert on June 12!)

That's all happening this Saturday, June 6th from 5-6 pm on CBC Radio One.

Listen to:
The (204) with Wabanakwut Kinew
Saturdays 5-6 p.m. on CBC Radio 1
