Now Taking Submissions for MUSEXPO Showcase Opportunity

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 4pm CST Monday, February 1, 2010

 
Manitoba Music and MANITOBA FILM & MUSIC are planning a series of high-level showcase and networking events at MUSEXPO in Los Angeles between April 25 and 29, 2010. 
 
MUSEXPO is one of North America’s most important music business conferences and offers only a limited number of exclusive showcasing opportunities. It is attended by some of the highest profile and most powerful people in music and entertainment, including heads of A&R, film and television music supervision, online and traditional video gaming, telecommunications, and more. Some of this year’s confirmed speakers and delegates include: Harvey Goldsmith (Founder, Harvey Goldsmith Presents), Steve Schnur (Worldwide Head of Music & Marketing, EA Games), Craig Kallman (Chairman/CEO, Atlantic Records Group), Ron Fair (Chairman, Geffen Records), Kevin Wall (Founder/CEO, Control Room & Live Earth), Big Jon Platt (President, N. American Creative, EMI Publishing), Alex Patsavas (Founder/Music Supervisor, Chop Shop Music), and Rob Spaulding (President, Fontana Distribution). The Manitoba initiative will include a showcase opportunity, invitations to exclusive networking events, along with assistance setting up meetings with industry executives, and pre-event market preparedness.

To be considered for inclusion in this showcase, you must:
•    Have a current release
•    Be export-ready
•    Have financial capacity to undertake travel and accommodations in L.A. (Market Access Program support is available, but will not cover full costs)
•    Be a member of Manitoba Music

Please submit:
•    Two (2) copies of your current release
•    Two (2) copies of a current video (if available)
•    Two (2) copies of current press material and/or links to online press material
•    Two (2) copies of a letter explaining how this showcase would fit with your overall development plan
 
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
•    Music
•    Track record
•    Strength of team
•    Export readiness
 
The final decision on showcase selection will rest with MUSEXPO.
